I have a 2014 camry hybrid and live in Vegas. The past 2 years I've noticed that during the summer I lose a lot of power and there's a lagg time for acceleration. I understand it's a hybrid and it's designed to save fuel, but when there's a lagg in acceleration it's becoming dangerous to drive in Vegas traffic on the freeway. Ive floored the pedal , I hear the engine wind up and after about 2 to 3 seconds, then I feel the car actually accelerate. I still have about 1000 miles left on my used car warranty and ofcourse I've taken it to my dealership with this issue and all they say is that there's nothing wrong with my car. If you have any insight of what it could be and how I can fix this I'd greatly appreciate it.
