have you tried a different key

Check for obvious things like the

  • condition of your battery
  • blown fuses (incl. the high voltage safety plug)
  • etc, the regular no-crank no-start (scotty has a video on it)

Have you plugged in a scan tool?

Is the ECU communicating in ACC mode?

If so, You'd want to check for codes and live data (to find if there's anything out of the ordinary)

A friend of mine had an issue very similar to this (not on a Toyota), and it turned out the ECU had to be reprogramed (although it did recognize the key, had the correct vin, but it just had some software bug)

This is an issue affecting some Toyota hybrids, there was recently a post on this topic.
