Hey Scotty - New viewer here, love your Youtube channel! I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic RS with the 1.4L Turbo Ecoboost Motor. I recently found your video about one you worked on and you said you weren't a fan, I wish I knew about your channel way back when I bought the thing.
It currently has 95K miles on it, and up until recently it had 0 mechanical issues other than spark plugs needing to be replaced. Within the last 3 Months, I have had to replace the water pump and alternator and now the struts need to be replaced. Total I am into the car about $3K
My question is: Now that I am approaching 100K miles, should I get rid of it? I regularly have the oil changed, Drive it really softly, and it seems to run well since all of the work has been done to it. From what I gather, these cars don't have much resale value so I am wondering if I should trade it in now while it runs well and get what I can, or just drive the thing till it gives out. I have really enjoyed driving it throughout the past few years, but does it have any chance at longevity??
Thank you!
I would probably get rid of it before it starts falling apart.
