[Solved] 2014 Dodge Dart 2.4L multiple issues

Hey Scotty, really love watching the content you put out on YouTube. A lot of it has gradually helped me fix problems without paying a small fortune at a dealership.

I currently own a 2014 Dodge Dart. I got the used vehicle from Lakeland Dodge of Lakeland, Florida. The vehicle had 58k miles on the odometer back in early 2018. It now has 90k. The car was discontinued for abysmal electronic issues and it’s something I wished I had known better before I purchased it. I’ve been having issues with the car feeling rough during idle. Most modern cars you don’t feel the engine vibration. It never had this issue when I first owned it but after countless warranty repairs and recalls from the dealership the car just feels very different. I’ve expressed my concerns about the rough engine idle and whenever I turn on the AC the car shakes kinda hard while the rpms drop dramatically. The mechanics at the dealership keep reassuring me that it is normal to feel the engine vibrating during idle. I know this is a simple lie because every car I’ve been in the vehicle always runs quietly. I’ve been told it could be a variety of things from online sources like ground wires, spark plugs, etc. Last year I purchased a new battery for the car and spark plugs. I installed NGK Laser Iridium. Which obviously knowing better now wasn’t the best choice...it’s a four cylinder car. The cheap copper ones would work just fine and are far more conductive to give the engine a smoother feel. Lastly I’ve had the UConnect 8.4 touch screen and rear view camera both go out. The camera mostly stays black while the UConnect system very randomly will turn off going to a white fading screen then black before it reboots. I’m wondering if it could be a faulty fuse or if I need to do a reset of the system by either doing a soft reset of it or disconnecting the battery for awhile to let it reset that way. I’m really sorry for the long message that may be hard to follow but this car has really stressed me out the last half year and I can’t get any professional advice. I know I could just get another car but I still owe 5k on it and I’ve wanted this car for years so I’m still very determined to make this car work for as long as I can.

Realize that is mainly a Fiat pile of crap I would not attempt to fix hardly anything on it as long as it ran and drove down the road.although in a relatively short period of time you will probably get discussed by it and get rid of it and then get something like a Toyota Corolla that will run forever

Yeah I figured. They recently had my car for over a month to fix the AC. Took them three attempts before finding the problem and then they caused the heater to stop working as a result. Every rental they gave was a 2021 Toyota Corolla and they ran very well. In between a Toyota or Corolla. Thanks for at least replying. Basically got the same response as my father haha! 😂 He said the same thing. As long as it runs don’t touch it because every time the dealership gets it the car comes back in worse condition. Just to pay it off this year and trade in and DONT GET A DODGE. 😅
