My wife’s car runs relatively well given its age and the number of miles it has on it. Our problem is when she puts gas in it, it suddenly doesn’t want to start. If you try long enough it will eventually start and after that it will start just fine every time until you stop for gas again. Anyone got any ideas?

Does she put the pump away when it stops automatically or is she a topper offer? If she's the latter then it's not good for a car's evap system. Check for any codes.

I had a chevy that did that and it was just something that I had gotten used to.
Has she been "topping off" her fuel because it could have something to do with that
