My grandmothers 2014 Jeep has a recall for the EGR coolers for her diesel engine. I looked it up and the recall does in fact affect her vehicle. The thing is a year ago she drove the vehicle from Oklahoma to Georgia to get a travel trailer for her business and right when she got into Georgia the engine blew subsequently she had to have the EGR cooler replaced and many other components adding up to almost $10,000. Should she file a claim with Chrysler and ask for compensation because its not her fault the vehicles wasn't built right. And should she demand they get her a temporary vehicle till she gets it fixed? What can she do to get some sort of compensation? Also since its a recent part that was installed is it probably faulty to?
