Long story short. Need help, wife's coworker 24 yrs old girl got scammed on a used car dealer. 5 days after buying car blew head gasket, she took it back and was told it was as is but maybe kia can help. After $2k kia said it would be $3400 to change head gasket. I volunteered to help her, after the repair found that timing chain jumped because of stripped screw on tensioner. Repaired that and now it ran ok with low idle.
Come next day tried to work on it and it doesn't turn over. Power is there battery is charged, checked fuses and relays and still no start. Checked starter at auto part store and checked good. What can I do?
Lesson learned by her (hopefully):
1. don’t go to the used car dealer
2. don’t buy without a mechanic
3. don’t buy a Kia
