I have a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder 4wd I been driving for awhile. It has slight vibration and whining sound and fluid leaking from the front driver side axle. I took to the dealership and they told me I needed alignment and replace the transfer case and was going to cost me $6,000. I’m afraid to drive it cause anymore problems. Does this sound acquired or is it a more minor problem then wat I’m being told?

First, NEVER take your vehicle to a dealer.  Find an independent mechanic.  I doubt you need a transfer case.  You probably need a new half shaft or and axle shaft output seal at the transfer case.

Get a second opinion from an independent shop on the leak.
