- hay Scotty I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer ext 214,000 miles with a evap leak code (small) only at half a tank of gas. I took the tank out in 40 minutes and checked all the lines. I replaced the charcoal canister, the vent valve, the purge canister,and yes the gas cap. can't figure it out thinking maybe the fuel pump seal? I only use ac delco parts and I also have an aluminum fuel inlet check valve because the tank is an original recalled tank. Part was cheaper than the dealer (diagnosis) fee. Even though when the original neck broke there was gas everywhere.

Have you tried smoke test for the leak?

I don't have the means. I could do a uv test if I buy a kit online.
