I traded in my 2018 Honda Civic 1.5l turbo with 51k miles for a 2014 Toyota Tacoma regular cab with a 2.7l 4 cylinder with 58k. Was this a good move?
I'll take a normally aspirated engine over a turbo all day long. The truck was a great choice. 2014 and 2015 were excellent years for the Tacoma.
They’re solidly built trucks, so yes, you made a good move and it’ll last up to 300K miles and beyond if maintained.
Depends on what you wanted. If you wanted a truck, yes.
Both cars are quality cars. If you wanted a truck, nothing wrong with the deal.
Example. I bought a 1981 Toy 4x4, 22R 4 cyl. engine in 1991. I am still driving the truck. If you are "religious" about changing the oil, filter, pcv valve and keeping the valves adjusted and maintaining your other fluids (trans, transfer case, front and rear differentials and all grease fittings) you can expect at least 200K miles out of it.
I just bought a 2014 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 single cab with the 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Realistically, how long should i expect it to last? im very religious with maintenance
