I have a 2014 Toyota Corolla S. It has the 1.8 litre, 4 cylinder with the CVT transmission. My car has roughly 85,000 miles on it. I take very good care of my vehicle. I have had an issue with it for a couple of years now that Toyota can't give me an answer for. When the car is up to operating temperature and I come to a stop at a red light or stop sign, the RPMs will come to idle and occasionally will drop and the car starts to shake, not rough but it is noticeable. If I put the car in park, the issue goes away. I can put it back in drive and it may or may not do the issue again. It does it no matter if the air conditioner is on or off. I tried cleaning the throttle body to see if that was the problem and it still does it even after a thorough cleaning. I have no codes showing. When I go to leave the red light and step on the gas, everything works as intended. It does not do it unless I am stopped and in drive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance -John
It seems the problem is related to the transmission. Ask a mechanics to check the transmission with high level scan tools.
good luck
