Hey Scotty! I have a 2008 Corolla 173k miles, and I've been checking my front wheel bearings because I've been hearing a very slight roaring noise coming from the front at higher speeds, and I'm not sure if the wheel is supposed to be that hung up while being spun while lifted off the ground (it doesn't have any play at all):

I've been hearing a very slight roaring noise coming from the front / I'm not sure if the wheel is supposed to be that hung up while being spun while lifted off the groundWheels can be a little snug when spinning by hand but they should turn freely. You should be able to hear a bad bearing so if you can't then try using AMD's technique for checking wheel bearings: https://youtu.be/1Y5lte1v9yg?t=61
@hixster Yes! Thanks for mentioning this. I actually watched that video right before inspecting the bearings, and precisely, there is a scraping feel felt through the strut coil when spinning the front wheels.
