When I drive over 60 drive side front left side shakes a little & so does the steering wheel, it also clunks every time I accelerate & brake I think it might be the control arms I took it to a local mechanic who told me I needed a new axle & brakes & charged me 1200 dollars but I’m still shaking at high speeds it’s like they fixed half the problem….
Did you watch him diagnose the clunking first, or did he just go replace parts?
If you can, jack up the front end and try feeling for play/worn out front end parts. Or take it to a reputed front end shop & have them diagnose it first, before throwing any more parts at it.
Also, are your tyres balanced?
I just got all new tires & got them balanced & it still happens
Odds are it’s something in your front end. Has the car even been in a wreck/curb hit?
Yes a few years back but after the accident I always did plenty of long drives from GA to NY VIA i95 & that’s about several times within 2 years & it rose just fine I just think it could be some premature wear
