I have a 2014/2015 Chevy Malibu LTZ (2LZ) 2.0 Turbo 55k on it sold as a 2015 but more of the 2014 model so no start stop and no push button engine start thank god, anyway ive taking the vin to people and there as weirded out as me due to the nature of the 4th digit in my vin its (1G11) and i found it weird because i thought 4th digit was supposed to be a letter, so any insight would be helpful because it is just weird vin look up said made in Kansas but still wierd in my book does this happen or is there more to this.
thanks in advance,
Eyez

This is the official government database; check it here. If it says everything is okay then it is.
checked there, so what do you do if it says you should have certain things but it does not have them in the active system? like for one my car is not a flex fuel car, and does not have certain other features like park assist and blind spot alert and couple other things. Just because it says active does that mean its installed or could come with?
"Information provided below is based on the details provided by the manufacturer of this vehicle to NHTSA in the part 565 submittal"
They show whatever information that manufacturer has provided them; I've always used this and it worked right.
Yeah all number matching, i suppose i should have said that from getco, Just found it weird that the 4th digit in the vin was a # not a letter.
And also Thank you MountianManJoe for your time.
It's not weird at all, but how can we help you if you don't post a photo or at least the VIN itself?
The 4th position can be a number or a letter. For example '9' means it's a non-North American model.

I google searched for 2015 Malibu VIN, and they all started with 1G11
made in Kansas
position 11 is the factory.
In your case F=Fairfax II Assembly (Kansas City)
