I have a 2016 Honda Pilot with 70k miles on the clock, it's AWD and it has the ZF 9 speed transmission.
I've noticed that in low gears and low speed, there's a slight vibration on the car, it goes away on highway speeds.
And I've noticed something weird: under load, there's almost no vibration. With the car full of people, the vibration is weaker, however, with only me driving and a quart of gas tank, the car vibrates more.
There could be a lot of things. Is it the transmission? Is it the drive shaft? Is it the differential? Is it the VCM (Variable Cylinder Management) unbalancing the engine with only 3 cylinders?
What do you think? Thank you.
Oh man, it could be any of those things or even more. Best. Things are known for relatively weak automatic transmissions, but the only way you're going to figure that out is a pro like me hooking up a $6,000 scan tool road, testing it then looking at any possible codes and analyzing the hundreds of raw data parameters to see what the heck's going on.
