Hey Scotty, I’ve had my 2015 Acura TLX base FWD for over a year now, and it has about 54,000 miles - In 1,000 miles I will go to the Acura dealer to change the oil again, adjust the valves, and eventually change water pump and timing belt. Is there any other maintenance I should watch out for at this mileage? I love this car so much I want it to drive it my entire life.

See below:  But I would change the engine oil every 5,000 miles (or at least once a year, whichever comes first) and the dual clutch transmission fluid every 30,000 miles (lower end of the recommended 30,000-40,000 miles range) to get as much life out of the powertrain.

Sounds like I’ll be doing tranny fluid again at 75,000 mi instead of 80,000 miles for longer life, thank you for advice.

6 years and 60,000? Fluids need to be changed and a complete physical performed.

Somebody with knowledge needs to look at the bottom of the car for anomalies and wear items - worn brake pads, torn CV boots, loose/rusty stuff and leaks, etc. Catching stuff early is safer and cheaper.

Forgot to mention I did change tranny fluid at 43,000 mi. I will admit when I got the car I wasn’t very concerned about getting it examined but when my mechanic changed the fluid I think he did a decent job examining the bottom. Thank you for the advice I will try to make this car last!
