Hey Scotty, I have a FWD 2015 Ford Flex SEL w/ 130k. I have problems getting the 20 inch wheels off when I get a flat or want to check the brakes. I’ve only gotten, 2 flats but both times I couldn’t get the wheel off to change it. Both times I had either drive it or tow it to a shop where they said the had to pry the wheel off due to the back of the wheel sticking to the wheel hub. How do I get these wheels off without having to take it to a shop? How much do I prevent the wheels from sticking going forward. Thanks for what you do!
How do I get these wheels off
Crack the lug nuts , loosen then a thread or two, but don't take them off. Lower the vehicle back onto the wheel so it's off the jack. Now shove the car sideways as hard as you can and rock it back and forth. If that doesn't help, roll it it forward or back a bit.
You can also apply some anti-seize compound to the back of the wheel
