How do I fix DTC P0016

I have a 2015 GMC Terrain with around 187000 miles on it. Recently I got a P0016 code that went away when I turned the car on the next morning.

I have also had things like the air conditioning blowing hot with it on the lowest setting, and then blowing cold  correctly when I turn the car off and on.

Additionally the clock seems to be off 20 minutes after I come out to my car after work.

I am wondering if the only link to all of these systems is the car computer itself, and if that could be causing the P0016 code?

It has been around 85-90 degrees here during the day, im wondering if something is getting too hot also?

Thanks,

ps.

I know nothing about cars btw..

so if any of that sounds off I am a google.com learner

Well the code is for incorrect correlation which generally means the timing chain is stretched. They would have nothing to do with the AC not working right hey it's a 9-year-old GM product odds are it's got multiple problems

Thank you Scotty,
Yes the GMC is getting on up there in mileage.
I have had the timing chain replaced before already, so I am hoping by some miracle its not as expensive as it was the first time if it turns out to be that.

If you don't mind me asking
Do you have any videos where you go through the scan tool to help people understand what each parameter means on a basic scan tool with live data.
Thank you

Scotty doesn't generally revisit topics he's already answered.

There are plenty of youtube videos with that kind of information and you can learn a lot just by watching Scotty's where he goes through live data while checking out cars.

If I take the negative battery cable off for several hours, will it reset the ecm? I saw the video where you should never touch the cables together because of all the electronics.

The reason I ask is because I am wondering how to specifically tell if the problem is something to do with the timing chain  or a sensor.

I was thinking if it was a timing chain that is the problem that would be independent and problems  would not go away, but if it was a sensor it could go away  briefly why the computer recalibrate everything.

Probably in more like 15 or 20 minutes.

What kind of car? What is the problem? What kind of sensor? What diagnostic steps have you taken so far? Performed a diagnostic scan? Tested the suspect sensor?
