2015 Honda Accord VSA modulator control unit failure

2015 Honda Accord, 25k mi, CVT

The vehicle's dash displayed Forward Collision Warning system failed.  Pulled the following OBDII code:

66-13 PRESSURE SENSOR (INSIDE OF VSA MODULATOR-CONTROL UNIT) CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION

The Honda OEM part VSA modulator unit costs about $1k, what other options do I have?

Is this a common failure on Honda's?

It's a relatively common failure that's a problem with those speed assistance systems. And you can't fix it yourself cuz the system has to be reprogrammed there giant pain in the ass when the cars get older and they break down

Thanks Scotty, last week I took the car to my trusted local mechanic and he tried to perform a VSA neutral position memorization but that didn't do the trick so he said the VSA modulator has to be replaced. He quoted me $1700 (part+tax+labor) for the repair, I think that's a fair price. I'm definitely not happy with Honda about this issue, this should not happen to a 6 year old Accord with 25K miles on it.

Greetings. That's expensive. Your error code suggests a problem with the ABS module, which can be fixed for $200 or so
