Should I buy this 2015 Lexus gs 350?

Looking at a 2015 lexus GS350 with 54000 miles for $24,000, been on the lot 4 months.

Is that a $weet deal?

I doubt there are any $weet deals out there at the moment.  But depending on options and mechanical condition, that’s probably within the normal market range, yes.

But why 4 months, especially these days?

Had a recall on the fuel pump, which hasn't been switched out by Lexus yet?

Plausible, but if that is really all, why didn’t they just get it fixed?
I wouldn’t touch it without a good independent inspection. And if there is any funny business I would walk. Plenty of other used Lexuses out there if that’s what you want.

In general this (final) generation of GS350 is an excellent choice.  I am in the market myself for one (looking at 2016-2018 ones) since I like the front fascia better.  Do yourself a favor (I’ve done this):  create an account at Lexus website here (for free), then add the VIN of the car and check the service history yourself (for free!, very easy to get, and obviously without going through dealer):

Even though the GS350 in general is reliable make sure this particular one has had a good service history (I.e. oil changes not neglected). Setting up account above and getting the service history report will tell you that.  If there is no history I would walk away.  It’s important to make sure at least the engine (and transmission) had their oils changed at proper intervals.

And of course you’d also get a mechanic to check out before you purchase.

The carfax report showed all the regular maintenance was performed by lexus dealerships.  I'll double check with that link.  Thanks for that.
