I have a 2015 Mazda 3 manual transmission.
I saw Scotty Kilmer say I should change my coolant every 7 years or 150,000 miles.
I bought coolant says its made for Asian cars HOAT its pink in color.
I drained the coolant in the radiator and refilled it with the 50:50 premixed Asian Coolant but it is a different color than what was already in the radiator. Not sure if the old stuff was OAT or HOAT coolant. I know a drain does not remove all the old coolant. Will my car be alright?
I used Zerex Asian coolant it was pink the original coolant was Green in color.
Your car came with HOAT from the factory, same as the Valvoline you put in there. Only difference is the color. Good to go.
I believe the Mazda OE coolant is blue rather than the generic Asian pink coolant. Both are HOAT, color is really the only difference as far as I'm aware. Valvoline sells two variations of their Zerex Asian coolant, blue and red, and they're both the same thing. Your car will be just fine.

Yes the original coolant was blue.
Does it really matter if HOAT and OAT coolants are mixed together?
