When starting cold engine regardless the time of day. I drive off shifting into 1st gear, then a medium tapping/clacking noise is heard while accelerating with the pedal only thru 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear for the first 5 to 10 minutes. Then the noise will somewhat subside when the engine warms up. It's audible from both the driver and passenger side, underneath the front part of the cab(?) and engine. 😕
I change oil every 3,500 to 5,000 miles, twice a year(don't drive much).
