WHAT IS THE BEST PRODUCT TO USE FOR SURFACE RUST ON THE UNDERCARRAIGE TO HELP PREVENT FURTHER COMPLICATIONS

You can clean off surface rust with a wire wheel or brush and respray it. First with a rust stopper/preventive, then with whatever adhears the best. Plenty of varying opinion online, I also have had good success with Rust-Oleum for older cars.

You can try rust o leum reformer but once rust starts, it's curtains!
