I have a 2016 Corolla 42000 miles 1.8 auto transmission. I have had to have the a/c recharged twice in 6 months there is a small leak as it empties every three months. They put dye in again about two weeks ago and I found what appeared to be the leak. I brought it back to the dealer without telling them where I found it they found the spot where the dye was they said it was overfill spray from when it was refilled. I know there’s a leak but I don’t think they believe me. The Toyota dealership is giving me the runaround it seems . I have the uv light kit to find what can it be? What can I do?
The leak could be in the evaporator, in which case you won't see it... unless you catch some dripping out with the condensate... If that's the case, you have my condolences. That's a repair job nobody wants.
