I recently purchased my wife a 2016 Ford Focus with the electronically shifted manual transmission. Overall the car is great but it stutters off the line in first gear but works perfect after it shifts into 2nd. I’ve noticed if you’re really light on the throttle until it hits 2nd then it’s not a huge issue, but it’s not what you’d expect from a newer car. Sometimes when you need to get up to speed quickly it really is quite uncomfortable. What is your opinion on these? Should I get rid of this car before the tranny goes out? Thanks.

Ford has a recall going on for the 6 speed dual clutch trannies in 2012 to 2016 focuses. Get that looked at right away.
