I have a 2016 Kia Optima. It makes a screeching noise when I accelerate after coming to a full stop or almost a full stop. Today it made the noise again; however, this time as soon as it did it, I put my foot on the gas and the car did not accelerate and the screeching seemed to last a little longer than normal. I've taken the car into a local mechanic, and they were unable to locate where it was originating from, another mechanic changed out the transmission fluid, but it is still making the noise. Any help would be GREAT! Thank you so much sir.
Did the mechanic bother to tell you if the pan looked like a glitter grenade went off in there?
Sounds like unless you want to pay for a transmission worth more than the car, it's time for something else.
