Hello!
I have a 2016 Mustang V6 with 59,315 miles on it. I went to check codes with my BlueDriver scan tool, and it found a P0316 code but no check engine light. Should I just clear the code and ignore it? I saw online that it’s a common issue with Fords when there’s a change from summer fuel to winter fuel mix.
Please share your thoughts.
what is the definition of the code please?
That code is interesting, caddison! I have a 2016 Mustang V6 (bought brand new in '16) & when I used my boss's scan tool this past Summer there were zero codes. Maybe....just maybe...it's the fuel you buy? I only buy Shell regular. Purrs along, plenty of GO! when I hit it, & still around 29-30 mpg.
I haven’t seen it since so I have a feeling Mod Man and Scotty are correct, it’s a common code when the seasons change or if you use downgraded fuel, which I don’t, shell is about 5 minutes from my house haha.
Yeah very calm and clear it as long as it runs okay who cares
I've seen that code on some Mustangs in my shop. It does seem to happen if lower quality fuel is used or when switching between seasonal blends.
I've never seen anything come of it in an engine that has no other issues. So, clear and go is my vote as well.
thank you guys!
