2016 Nissan Murano

I am concerned about my Murano S transmission reliability. I have 73,000 on it and am thinking of trading for 2011 tundra. Do push button starts go out at certain milestones, I changed fluid on Trans at 65,000 miles. Will transmission last 300,000 miles taken car of? Or should I get rid of it? Tundra 1 owner. 87,000. Basic model. 4.6L. Live in rust belt area.

The transmission is unlikely to last a whole lot longer than it already has. Search the board for "Jatco" for details.

I would get rid of that Nissan sooner than later. Besides the transmission, other parts of the car are not well made.

I've seen cars less than 10 yrs. old from the rust belt that are ready for the scrap heap. So even if your transmission does somehow hold out for a few years more years, the rest of the car may not survive the rust onslaught.

I would go with the Tundra
Keep in mind they have had some problems as well (depending on year)
I would google "20xx tundra complaints" to get an idea of what to keep an eye out for

The v6 transmissions generally last pretty well. 300k out of any newer vehicle is a slim chance to be honest. I could see the murano lasting you a good long time as long as you take care of it

They aren't different from a regular key. expect relying on your key's battery.

A nissan CVT??? NO - no CVT lasts that long, most automatics don't.

Maybe 100k. A lot of people on this forum have experienced CVT failures even bellow 80k.

Sounds good, have a mechanic check it out.
