2016+ Tacoma vs. 2010+ Frontier

Hey guys I need some help. I’m in the market for a used truck. I’ve narrowed it down to 2. I want it to last for as long as humanly possible. I’m religious about maintaining my cars and do almost all of the work myself. Here are the 2 options(read carefully)

2010ish Nissan Frontier, crew cab 4x4, they seem to have 40-80k mi. This is the most affordable option.

2016+ Tacoma, crew cab, 4x2, 4cyl, 6speed auto trans, 30-60k mi. This option is more expensive.

I’m mostly concerned about the software on the new Tacoma and what wear that might cause on the engine and trans. Also, I’ve never seen a frontier with 400,000mi for sale anywhere.

Tacoma all day long.  Make sure to do a pre-purchase inspection

You don't see any Frontier's with 400k miles for sale because there's likely not many that have survived that many miles and be reliable.

Tacoma.

Forget the Frontier, the Taco is far better.

Definitely the Tacoma. What software are you concerned about? All newer cars have a lot of software.
