Hi Scotty

Big Fan, found your channel by mistake through CrisFix's channel

Anyhow, I have that Chevy traverse 2011 (140K miles) for a year, bought it used for a really good price, it had a P0420 and P0430 Codes (Catalytic converter problems cost me about 1000$) so I went and replaced those, the codes are gone.

In addition I had a LPG kit Added (a one where it gives 70% gas 30% fuel) and it ran grate (cost 3500$).

I had some problems with the AC the gas ran out, Last week I Refilled Gas at a dealership (cost 100$) but before that I had some problems with the engine, it was loosing power standing in place, the screen said "Reduced Engine Power" and i had the following error codes (read it with ELM327 connected to my cell phone and Car Scanner Running) P029D, P0089, P0087, P0300, P0301, P0303, P0134, P0141, P0989, P0877

I was SCARED, I disconnected the negative pole from the battery and waited for 20 min then reconnected, the car seemed sketchy but ran.

Now Why did i tell you about the AC gas, because that guy also reset all the codes and since then the machine is running ok.

it all started when I bought the damd car the guy told me that the radio is stealing power from the battery, and it is, when the car is locked it takes 0.7 amp and I had a battery with cold start current of 560 amp (the car takes a minimum of 730 amps) so i changed the battery, and if the car is standing more than a day it won't start.

so my questions are:

1) maybe the battery I bought is also not what the car needs?

2) the radio is connected to an internal amp so I'm not delighted to replace it, should I, or just put a relay connected to the switch that disconnects power to the radio?

3) how can I check if the engine is really faulty (leaking Injector and faulty fuel pump and random misfires).

I'm fixing my car at home for the most part, I go to dealerships only when I have no other choice (I don't trust them, I've been haged too many times).

thanks for the advice because I'm really tired from all these malfunctions/

The two reasons i keep this car are: I need the 8 Real (not kiddies) seats, and the car is crazy comfortable to drive, I use it to commute every day

I don't understand this reasoning, after you were told what the problem is.

the guy told me that the radio is stealing power from the batter ... when the car is locked it takes 0.7 amp

whichever you prefer.

how can I check if the engine is really faulty (leaking Injector

with a fuel injector flow test. Requires diagnostic tool and pressure gauge.

how can I check if the engine is really faulty ... faulty fuel pump

measure the fuel pressure with a gauge
