Hello, I’m interested in possibly purchasing a 2016 JGC Overland with the 3.6l engine, but it has 120,000 miles on it. I checked the car fax and seems like it was taken care of during the previous two owners. I really liked what I saw but have been hearing mixed reviews on Jeeps so far. I am hoping if I get it, that I can manage to get another 100k miles out of it.
Pass. You're not going to get another 100k out of that thing without spending a good amount of money on repairs. Those were not the best engines.
See below: they are money pits as they age and with higher mileage have a propensity for electrical issues (gremlins). That one is already past it’s prime at 120,000 miles; look for something else.
