Cadillac xt5 No xm siruis reception on radio . I did a reboot from siruis radio with no difference . Radio works am/fm but no xm siruis...I do have a active account ?
I saw your radio's broken internally then they don't put very good radios in those GM's anymore
There is a separate module in that radio or there is a module in the satellite antenna on that car. (I have not seen the service/schematic books)
My guess is that module has failed which is either in the Satellite antenna or in the radio. If its the antenna module, you can replace that, but the module may have a serial number on it, so write down or photo all the numbers. There will be a reinitialization process or a transfer from one device to another to solve this.
Since this unit is built into EVERYTHING in that car, it is imperative that you install the new parts and have the dealer reinitialize everything in that car. Those systems can be a real bear to deal with. A colleague had one of those and it had to be reinitialized several times during his lease, It would just loose its mind. The new one a 2020 is much better than the 2017 for the comparable system.
Buy the used parts and have the dealer put them in or point them to the parts and have them do the reset process on the whole mess. It all talks to each other and without the software kick, you will be dead in the water with problems. Its all integrated and all talks on the canbus.
