2017 Kia Sportage EX This is my first car. Im am not buying it so beggar can't be chooser but I'm used to cars, I can do basic maintenance but as for knowing whether it's a long time reliable car is the question. It's already over 100,000 miles and for 6k. Am I getting a lemon in general or can they last?

Those vehicles are known for excessive oil consumption and catastrophic engine failure. At 100K miles it may not have a lot of life left in it.

However if it's being given to you, might as well just drive the thing until something expensive goes wrong with it. Keep an eye on the oil level since oil burning is one of the most common problems.
