2018 Acura TLX
When I try to start the car it just clicks once and doesn’t start, the headlights turn on but that’s about it. When I tried giving it a jump the car makes this very rapid clicking sound and it does not stop. It sounds like it’s coming from somewhere underneath the battery. Car has 62,000 miles on it.
Does this clicking sound come with you connect the jumpers, or when you start the ignition?

If your battery is in real bad shape you can still get clicking from the starter when you try to jumpstart the car. Assuming you still have the original battery it's likely due for replacement after 5 years.
It indeed was the battery, mechanic insisted it was the starter or alternator but I decided to buy a new one anyways and it’s a-ok. Thanks for your help. Scotty community for the win !
