- So I have a 2018 Honda Civic with a 1.5 liter turbo engine. I heard on one of your videos you don’t think it’s a good idea to buy the car because of the oil dilution problem, we’ll do you think aside from that the car can be reliable if maintained correctly? Or is the oil dilution way too big of a problem and can’t be fixed with any amount of maintenance. I do drive on the highway about 15 min every day to work and drive it frequently I would imagine it will help the car. But do you think this car will be reliable in the future?

I would change the oil every 5,000 mi and I would do the new gf6 oil

These did have the major oil gas dilution problem, it’s a manufacture defect of the engine.
Just keep an eye on the oil and hope for the best. Check if there are any open recalls.

Not to worry.
If you do not drive like a maniac, the engine (and whole car) will last a long time.
Scotty's oil change recommendations are paramount. 👍 👍
And don't forget the transmission and radiator fluids. Honda's love to be loved!
