Hello
i have a 2018 Crosstrek that is very close to 100k. I have had no issues at all but the service schedule in the US manual dose not really change the CTV transmission fluid. To me it seems so counter intuitive and makes me nervous not to change it.
Any thoughts on should I change the fluid even though it is not recommended.
Thanks
It really should have been changed at 30K-40K mile intervals per the "severe service" specification. (The factory claim of "lifetime fluid" is bogus.) I'd go ahead and change it. The fluid is expensive and the procedure is convoluted, especially if you want to change all the fluid, but should be followed even if doing a simple drain and fill because correct fluid level is critical.

This question came up a few months ago, actually a few times if I recall. Take a look in the search bar above.
Yes, have it changed (but don’t do it yourself unless you know what you’re doing)
