2018 Toyota Highlander
Greetings Scotty from West Virginia. I have a 2018 Toyota Highlander le plus V6 with 96,321 miles. I took it in for a recall for the fuel pump. This has been about 3 months ago and now it seems like when accelerating it wants to hesitate a little. I thought it might be because of air conditioning running because I know that puts a small strain on the engine however, I shut the AC of and it still seems to be lagging. Any thoughts?
Well they can hesitate for many reasons I'd have to road test it and look at the data from the live Scan tool information. Things like worn spark plugs, clogged air filter, clogged fuel filter, dirty fuel injectors, vacuum leaks. All those can cause something like that. So you might just check all you can yourself first
i posted a question a few months back about 2018 Toyota Highlander hesitation when accelerating! I ran a full diagnostic on the transmission and engine no fault codes at all. While sitting in my driveway I revved the engine up to 2000 RPMs and it would drop down 1500 RPMs briefly then go back up to 2000 RPMs. It's not idling rough to think it's the spark plugs any ideas or thoughts

Did your Highlander have a fuel pump recall by any chance and was it taken care of? Also, check to make sure there are no loose vacuum hoses, connections etc. Can be many things..
