Bought this truck new. It has 23,000 miles. Since new, at about every 2000 miles, the engine will get noticeably louder. the oil gets really dark and smells like it has been cooked. dealership says this is normal but I don't think so and I have changed the oil about every 2000 miles. Should I be concerned about dark oil that smells like burned toast after 2000 miles and should I keep changing my oil when I notice this problem? thank you

Which oil are you using? Is the oil level dropping?
