I have been looking Into the Ford Taurus as a first car for myself for some time now, and I wanted to get opinions from the community or anyone that owns one. I know Ford has models that date back to 2010 so if anyone has had older ones too i would like input from that.
- I would like to know about it's reliability, how many problems have others had with them, and possibly is lf getting one used around the 20k mile range or less would be considered an alternative to buying new. More specifically this is aimed at the 2019 models. I live in the bay area in California and mainly I would be using it to travel to and from work, which sometimes can be inter-city, going over bridges, and some long distance traveling too.
If there are any community members who want to suggest alternative similar cars in the same price range as this car, I would be open to suggestions for those too. Thanks!
I would not get one. A Camary or Accord would be a better choice.
Prices differ based on location but I just did a general search on the price of the car you are considering and from used car lots I am seeing prices of $23k and above. For this price range and if you don't need a car right away and you can find at msrp another option is a brand new Toyota Corolla either L or LE trim. The new Civic is good too but I've been hearing that those are harder to find at msrp compared to the Corolla (but you can definitely check that out too).
You may want to try asking those that own them Ford Taurus forum. I'm not a member of the forum but usually there's lots of people that if nothing else will give you an opinion to help you make a decision. I'd also suggest looking into a Chevy Volt or Cadillac ELR (same car basically) they are pretty much trouble free.
Why the down vote? A question was asked and I gave an opinion
A Chevy volt, seriously. They are junk. Many electrical problems. Also a family member owns a Taurus, and yes it was junk.
If you say so. Have a great day!
