I bought a new 2019 Genesis G70 Twin Turbo, 365 HP fully loaded, Automatic with AWD. Since new, the car has had occasional long hesitation (every few days) when I step on the gas, lasting 3 or 4 seconds, and sometimes as long as 7 seconds. Dangerous to pull out into traffic! Car has only 12,000 miles on it. Told dealer several times, but of course it never hesitates when they have it, and they see nothing wrong. Tried shutting off Electronic Stability Control but didn't help. Happens in Sport Mode also.
Any codes?
Go to a different dealer and DEMAND it being repaired.
If it’s an 8 speed dual clutch, they probably don’t have a solution - it’s a crap gearbox.
No codes that I'm aware of. Will bring to local mechanic soon to run a scan.
Make sure that that won't void your warranty - of course no repairs outside of the dealer!
Just go to the dealer and DEMAND it repaired ASAP - Hyundai-Kia OWE you a drivable car for the $40k you paid for it.
(Just be advised that getting a good mid-price luxury car out of Hyundai is like getting blood from a turnip - improbable if not impossible)
Also, can't you trade it in for a new V6 Camry? those actually last.
