Question with the new toyota camry TNGA platform. Since the car sits lower to the ground, is it more likely to get water damage driving through a flooded street then the previous generation camry?

You shouldn't drive through any flooded road in the first place, regardless how high or low the clearance is. Let the gung-ho happy-honky dudes pass you and drive through flood if you value your investment, or plan and find alternative routes.
