Hi.  I was reading up on the 2020 Toyota Camry and thinking about purchasing one.  I read some complaints online about the battery dying on the brand new car at 1500 miles.  I also read now there is a computer code repair fix for the issue.  Could this problem be persistent with the vehicle long term since it could be an electrical problem?  Thank you for your expertise.

I doubt that it's anything serious

Yes I really doubt it is anything serious  if its new there is a warranty long term it should be fine if you are going used you could consider getting a 2019 or so and always have a mechanic check it out so either way you should not have issues that are major. Scotty's comment sections are filled with people who bought brand new Jeep's and the transmission went out at 8000 miles. That's quality for you. Unfortunetly most brands make worse and worse cars as time goes on. Toyota has been declining in quality for 20 years or so. If a major issues comes along, they fix it. But overall quality wise, they are going down the drain. But other brands are even worse, so a Camry is still a top choise when it comes to reliability. Electrical issues are common but it is Toyota they will probably have the fix ready and warranty will cover it no problem. If that is the only issue with your purchase, then go ahead and snatch one up especially if you can get one a good deal off msrp.
