Hello to you all! so i was quoted $1577.44 at the dealer to replace the rear brake pads and to resurface the rotors (the pads are reported to be 4mm thick) . so I was looking to do them myself. but It seems like semi metallic brake pads are the only option for this heavy duty truck which makes sense. but do i actually need to resurface or replace the rotors too? cause I know these type of pads do wear rotors faster, but i don't know how fast. I'm relatively new to maintaining big trucks since I'm helping the family business, and i couldn't find an answer so any insight would help. i usually pull heavy equipment and load material on the dumpster bed. to give you an idea of its usage

Also small question. are you supposed to change transmission fluid on heavy duty trucks?

Yeah you need to change the transmission fluid maybe every 60,000 mi. Now. As for the brakes, yeah they're really ripping you off. It's not hard to change a man. Let me tell you you rotors don't need to be changed all the time. If you look at them and they are not gouged and when you hit the brakes hard the steering wheel doesn't shake and the vehicle doesn't shut her from warp rotors. You can use them over
