2021 Suzuki Swift Strange Knocking Sound

Hello everyone. In 2021 i bought a brand new suzuki swift hybrid hoping that i made the right choise - suzuki, well reputed car manufacturer right ?
I was very happy with the purchase. I turned the car on drove my way home and since the first day, im hearing strange noice. Video of the problem !

which is very very upsetting ! Sometimes it happens between 1st and 2nd gear on uphill but always when the car is in neutral. I visited the official dealer, they said it was due to low quality fuel ? Where i live at the gas stations you can very often see ferrari, jaguar, bmw 8 series etc, so they can run on "low quality fuel" and face no problems but SUZUKI cant ??? what a nonsence. Im very upset because i went there 4 times and they always say the same thing. What am i supposed to do ? Any advice or similar experience about the sound im hearing would be great !

They failed miserably in the U.S. and are known here mainly for motorcycles. Maybe their cars are OK in the rest of the world, don't really know though.

Usually you'll get preignition clatter under load rather than at idle, and modern cars have knock sensors that should retard ignition timing before the problem is audible to the human ear. Didn't the dealer bother to hook up a scan tool to check data for problems? If it was due to low octane gas the data should show the computer desperately trying to retard the ignition timing to compensate.

They connected a scan computer, said that there are no problems...

If they didn't see anything in the data you have a mechanical noise that has nothing to do with low-octane gas.

Spark plugs ? Lambda Sensor ?

A sensor wouldn't rattle and problems with it would have shown up in the data if the dealer even really looked at it. Spark plugs don't rattle either. Could be a timing chain rattle or maybe VVT hardware, something like that.

Isnt the lambda sensor responsible for how much air and fuel is in the engine ?

Yes, and if it were providing garbage information to the computer it would show up in the data.

Please, can you share this with your friends ? Any advice is welcomed.

I'm sure others are seeing your post here and possibly they'll have additional suggestions.

I gave your video a listen. When you punch your accelerator, I hear what sounds like valve terrain chatter. Make sure and check the oil level first because well, that dealer is incompetent.

I've heard this on a Corolla with VVT and it was low on oil, but the low oil level/pressure didn't trip a CEL. That was an unusual situation though and as @chucktobias mentioned pre-ignition will cause this sound. Don't know how stout the Suzuki engine is and don't know your mileage but worn rocker arms make a similar sound.

Take it to another dealer if you're under warranty. (I'm not familiar with Suzuki's warranty) Otherwise find a good mechanic who won't blow smoke at you and tell you it's raining.

Oil level okay, the car has only 30.000km - two oil changes so far.

30K kilometers with only 2 oil changes, that's just not frequent enough.. Do as Scotty suggests and change the oil/filter every 5K miles(~8K kilometers). He's right, "Oil is cheap and engines are expensive"
