Hey Scotty I have 2021 Toyota Tacoma V6 with 12,000 miles did I have to to do the 1,000 oil change and should I do 5,000 mile oil changes instead of the 10,000 miles because my first oil change was at 1 year with 7,000 miles thanks

Probably not. While not a bad idea it's not as necessary as it was decades ago.
5k miles OR 1 year is the general consensus. Oil & Filter.
If your owners manual calls for 7 or 10k I'd still stick with 5k intervals, oils cheap. If you do not hit 5k in a year make sure to still change it anyway. Oil loses its lubricating properties once its been poured into an engine.
