My wife might agree to a new minivan. I'd rather have a 2020 Sienna, but can't find a leftover. I'm not sold on the new hybrid Sienna. I'm also not sure about the Honda for the long hall. Although the Honda motor sounds fun. Any suggestions?
I would go used and get the previous generation Toyota Sienna, which as you noted 2020 was the last model year. If you don’t need the vehicle right away, just keep looking. The new (current) generation Sienna is only a hybrid and while Toyota makes the best/long last lasting hybrids (relative to other automakers), if you intend to keep the vehicle well past 200,000 miles I would go with the previous generation gas version.
The Honda Odyssey only comes with the 3.5L V6 which has cylinder deactivation which can potentially wear/out damage the engine over time if not disabled (can only be disabled via aftermarket). The jury is also out on the longevity of Honda’s 10-speed automatic.
Get a used V6 Sienna.
A used V6 Sienna would be my preference. If you are buying new only, I'd go with the Honda.
Don't buy a hybrid vehicle. Gasoline engine only vehicles are the best. In term of reliability, get a Sienna.
Do not buy a Honda Odyssey. I think that might be the worst vehicle Honda made in terms of the modern era and the worst minivan ever in the modern era.
