Hello! I purchased my 2022 Mazda 3 with the regular 2.5 Skyactiv FWD power train in November of 2022 and have loved it. However, recently I’ve been hearing an odd rattling/gargling sound from under the hood that happens under very specific circumstances. When the engine is warmed up, I’m accelerating at a normal rate, and at lower RPM’s (between 1-3k) I hear this rattling noise and the engine seems to have less power than normal almost as if it is being bogged down. I’ve tried to reenact this sound in neutral or park by revving and it doesn’t appear, and when I’m flooring it and in a higher rev range it doesn’t occur either. I’m clueless as to what it could be and am very disappointed since the car only has 5,600 miles on it.
Well, Mazda does make mistakes on some of their engines and don't build them right. Watch my video finding the source of car noises. Scotty. It's on YouTube and if you find the noise is coming from the engine take it back to the deal and let him fix it under warranty. The sky active engines are a marvel of engineering but when they break man alive they cost the fortune to fix
