Hi Scotty,
I'm looking for a car with long-term reliability and minimal maintenance costs.
I found a new 2023 Mazda 3 for $24k (which sadly seems to be a decent deal these days relatively speaking).
Should I be worried that it has cylinder deactivation? And, are there any other concerns with these cars that you know of?
Thanks for your time.

No for that price range. That's a pretty good car. I personally would buy a Toyota Corolla but Toyota and Mazda have a pretty good relationship. I don't like that cylinder deactivation though. I personally would buy a car that does not have that
