Hi Scotty,
I just purchased a 1990 Jaguar Vanden Plas Majestic, its automatic with the J-shifter. 2 owners 71,000 original miles near mint condition. The gentleman i bought it from said the only issue he was having was when he would start it and give it gas it would die. I was thinking simple fuel filter or possibly TBS or dirty throttle body, wanted to get your thoughts? Thank you.

Sure, start there. Look for vacuum leaks and clean the engine as in my video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner which is on YouTube
