Hi Scotty I have new 2023 Tacoma with almost 5k miles on it, I've heard you should change the oil every ten thousand miles but I thought it was every 5k miles. Any idea on which ones right? What maintenance should be at 5k miles?
Change oil and filter every 5000 miles if you want your engine to last.
Change it every 5,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. Also, use a premium oil filter with every oil change.

I discovered recently that Denso has 2 plants that make the oil filters - one in Taiwan and the other in China. Over here in the UK we get the Chinese tat, but you guys might have options. Although I suppose to be fair, Denso is a Japanese company and the Chinese ones might be ok. But I'd still opt for the Taiwanese ones.
